In collaboration with the unanimous recommendations of the senior regional staff, and the ABCNJ Personnel Committee, it is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael A. Jackson as the new ABCNJ Financial Officer/Accountant. Mr. Jackson succeeds our beloved Linda Porter, who is retiring after thirty-nine years of faithful and excellent service. We are grateful to the felt presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout the search process. We examined twenty-nine applicants, but Michael always seemed to float to the top of our list! He will begin his official duties on January 2, 2018.

Michael Jackson resides in North Plainfield, NJ. He is happily married, father of three, and a proud grandfather of one. He is a lifelong member of Scotch Plains Baptist Church, where Rev. Chaz Hutchison is Senior Pastor, and has served there both as Treasurer and Finance Chairperson.

He has also served as Treasurer of the North Plainfield Education Foundation and Co-President of the North Plainfield High School PTO. Michael has spent 28 years in Finance and has held a series 7 and 63 FINRA license. He has worked as a High Yield Fixed Income Trader, working with US Treasuries, Agencies, Investment Grade and High Yield Corporate Bonds, as well as Supra Sovereign Bonds. He has acted as a Conservator to a portfolio of private equities and commercial real estate. He has also managed daily collateral operations for a multibillion dollar credit default swap, interest rate swap, and cross currency swap portfolios. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rutgers College and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
