Disaster Response Request

Flooding around Brick, NJ

On Monday August 13, 2018 a state of emergency was declared in Brick, NJ when storms brought down 8 inches of rain in a matter of hours and caused extensive flooding. Over 100 residents of GreenBrier retirement community had to be evacuated. We are looking for volunteers to work with Denise Gratzel, ABCNJ Disaster Relief Coordinator, this Friday, Aug. 17 to start cleaning out damaged homes. We will work along side Seeds of Service, ABCNJ’s local partner in our work with Hurricane Sandy relief. Denise is also now personally contacting the pastors of our ABCNJ churches in Monmouth and Ocean Counties to check on their situations.

Please contact our Disaster Relief Coordinator, Denise Gratzel, at 732-614-3969 to volunteer.

May God bless the agencies and volunteers as we serve together in Christ name.
