On February 16, 2012, Chesterfield Baptist Church ministered to its community in a significant way following a tragic school bus accident in which one child died and over a dozen others were seriously injured.  The church opened up its doors for an evening community-wide prayer service, and Rev. Dr. Ed DeSilva represented the church in news interviews.  About 300 people turned out.  That evening, ABCNJ was represented by one of our Associate Regional Pastors, Rev. Dr. Elmo Familiaran. ABCNJ's Executive Minister and Senior Regional Pastor, Rev. Dr. Lee B. Spitzer, preached at Chesterfield Baptist on March 4, and presented the church with a certificate from the region.
