Mr. Daniel Vitello, member of the First Baptist Church of Laurelton, Brick, New Jersey received his Certificate of License to Preach the Gospel at the churches 155th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, September 16, 2012. The congregation was excited about this initial phase toward his preparation as he entered seminary at Palmer Theological Seminary toward a Master of Divinity degree. Mr. Vitello has been a long time member of the church and has been an active board member and has served on the pastoral search committee. It was fitting for him to receive this license at the churches 155th anniversary as they press on in their fulfillment of God's call to give witness their continued commitment to serving Jesus Christ. Rev. Vernl E. Mattson, associate regional pastor for ABCNJ presented the certificate along with the church moderator Grace Van Buren, church clerk, Dina Schmidt, co-chair of the Board of Deacons, Alfred Luthringer and T. Lorraine Vitello.
