ABCNJ Extends Condolences to Rev. Richard Sharber Regarding the Loss of His Mother

We have received word that Rev. Richard Sharber's mother went to be with the Lord.  Let's keep the Sharber family in our prayers. Here is her obituary:

DORIS (NEE STAFFORD) SHARBER

Age, 86 of Wilmington died on April 11, 2013.

Born in South Mills, NC, near Elizabeth City, Doris attended Bridgewater College and graduated from East Carolina Teachers College. She moved with her husband, James to Sherwood Park in 1955, where she lived the rest of her life. Doris was a devoted teacher for 25 years, mostly Kindergarten, in the Wilmington and Red Clay school districts. She had been a member of Bethany Baptist, Immanuel Baptist and Ogletown Baptist churches, and had coordinated ministry to homebound persons.

Doris is survived by 2 beloved sons; Cliff and his wife, Mille of West Deptford, NJ and Richard and his wife, Susan, of Oakland, NJ. Also left to cherish her memory are her adored grandchildren Justin, Elisabeth and Seth.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday April 17th at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE, where friends are invited to call after 9:30 am. Burial will follow in Lawnside Cemetery, 1070 Route 40, Woodstown, NJ 08098.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Doris’ memory to the Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810
