ABCNJ was awarded a grant, in cooperation with a ministry called “Sidebar Stories” to participate in a church revitalization initiative from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. Sacred Safe Space recently held its pilot team training workshop at the ABCNJ regional office. Led by Rev. Ruth Giraldo–Mangual, Associate Regional Pastor and Min. Ron Dukes, of Alpha Baptist Church, the workshop focused on increasing awareness of our churches and developing strategies to transform them into sacred, safe spaces for survivors, victims, and their families.

More than twenty individuals gathered at Camp Lebanon on Saturday, February 1st for ABCNJ’s annual clergy retreat. Our theme for this year was "Embracing Community: Showing Love to Immigrant Families." Our retreat leader was Rev. Ray Schellinger, International Ministries global consultant for immigrants and refugees who serves some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
